LLJ Benefit Dinner May 30 at the Yates County Fair Grounds

“Live Like Jackson Youth Opportunities” was founded to honor the incredible life and legacy of Jackson Robert Mumby. Jackson was a 12-year-old boy who rose to heaven days before entering his 8th-grade year at Marcus Whitman Middle School. He had a love of life and all things active.

His pastimes are too numerous to list, but he was happiest with a fishing pole in his hand, running shoes on his feet, or in the woods hiking or hunting.

His classmates quickly coined the acronym LLJ (Live Like Jackson). There was no hesitation when the suggestion was made to establish a foundation to create opportunities for young people; it made perfect sense.

Our vision is to give young people the opportunity to enrich their lives through activities that will enhance their growth and learning. The board will work to give back to the community, raise funds, and inspire others to "Live Like Jackson".

Our Mission is simple and impactful: To honor Jackson’s legacy by raising funds and donations to promote activities and opportunities for the benefit of young people.
